Green Impact is RSF new founding member

RSF welcomes its new founder Green Impact, a non-profit organisation with a European and international scope. Green Impact brings together scientific, legal and communication expertise to turn evidence on biodiversity, ecology, animals and society into policy change.

Its work on nature follows the Rewilding Agenda, which rests on four pillars: restoring ecological processes and natural habitats, strictly protected areas and species, coexistence between human activities and wildlife, and regenerative agriculture compatible with biodiversity. Green Impact founded and coordinates WolfWatch Europe, a network of more than 100 European NGOs working to protect wolves and other large carnivores.

Strategic litigation is one of its tools. Green Impact is currently an applicant in two cases before the General Court of the European Union (T-634/24 and T-563/25) challenging the downgrading of the wolf’s protection status. In July 2026, together with Plastic Soup Foundation, it published a report (Read the report) and a policy briefing on microplastics. Both are based on peer-reviewed evidence, map the gaps in current EU legislation and set out proposals for the upcoming Circular Economy Act.

Green Impact is chaired by Gaia Angelini, a specialist in public affairs and European environmental law with twenty years of experience in Brussels, where she has worked with the European Parliament, the European Commission, NGOs and companies. She also teaches on the Master’s programme in Sustainable Development Goals at LUMSA University.

“Regeneration is a collective effort. At Green Impact, we are delighted to become members of the Regenerative Society Foundation because we believe that when businesses and NGOs join forces in a common direction, change grows faster, deeper and more lasting. This is the kind of partnership the planet needs now” Gaia Angelini, president, Green Impact ETS.
