2025 Annual Report

From the Letter of the Foundation’s Co-Chair Andrea Illy:

2025 was not a year like any other for the Regenerative Society Foundation: it was the year we reached our “turning point.”

2025 marked a moment of sharing. We presented the Framework and the wealth of experience of our member companies in an international context. Last November’s Regeneration 20|30 Forum was not just an event, but a celebration of a promise kept. A moment of dialogue and affirmation that marked the conclusion of our first phase—the Vision phase—and the beginning of a new era: the Impact phase.

This second edition of the Social Report—the first since our official entry into the National Single Register for the Third Sector (RUNTS)—documents the vitality of a growing ecosystem. Here you will find the initiatives that have allowed us to engage with new audiences and plant the seeds of regeneration in ever-wider fields.

Today, the Regenerative Society Foundation is moving toward a new ambition: to transform the Vision that has driven it so far into a tangible reality, capable of generating lasting value through projects in which we will join forces with diverse stakeholders, united in a systemic effort to transform the world in which our families live and our businesses operate.

The time for vision has become the time for action. Together, as an impact foundation.

The activities by year

2025

Sharing

The Regeneration 20|30 Forum shared the vision of RSF’s founders, partners and network to a B2B and B2C public. Together with the first Report publishing and the RUNTS enrollment, the digitization of the Regenerative Framework state the Foundation’s will to share its findings.

2024

Manifesting

RSF published the manifesto “No sustainability without regeneration” and other informative documents supporting the activities of companies, in addition to the 8 complete development of the measurement tool and several thematic webinars on topics of common interest.

2023

Promoting

The Foundation’s activities focused heavily on promoting the best practices of its founding companies, in particular through communication on its own channels, scouting for financing solutions, and sharing these with other selected stakeholders in a number of workshops for cross-fertilization.

2022

Warming up

The institutional relationships cultivated at European and international level enabled participation in high-profile events (e.g., COP27) and an institutional mission to the EU Commission. The first project of a founding company was evaluated by RSF’s proprietary measurement tool.

2021

Strategizing

The Foundation focused on developing a strategy and roadmap for the coming years. Recognizing the importance of a solid scientific basis to guide its work, RSF appointed a Scientific Director to set up a Scientific Committee and a working group dedicated to measuring the projects of member companies.

2020

Setting up

RSF was established in September 2020 in Parma as a natural evolution of “Regeneration 20|30,” a coalition of global leaders, companies, institutions, academia, and NGOs committed to defining a new regenerative paradigm by 2030, based on three pillars: regenerative economy, climate, and happiness.
