Ocean Week 2025: a panel on the interdependencies

The collaboration between RSF and One Ocean Foundation takes off with a panel organized by RSF during the 2025 Ocean Week, an open access event organized by One Ocean Foundation which takes place 22-25 May in Milan.

Connecting the dots: interdependencies between humans, land and water

What do flies, algae, and crackers have in common? What impact do terrestrial activities, such as agriculture, have on aquatic ecosystems and vice versa? How do we allow different ecosystems to coexist without harming each other? In this panel we will answer these questions through the common thread that connects human activities with agricultural and aquatic activities. We will explain the functions of the ocean to understand the power of nature, and water in particular, and ecosystem services, and together we will imagine new frontiers on how humans-land-sea can interact.

Panel speakers:

  • Luca Cerruti (KelpEAT)
  • Paolo Frigati (Persea Benefit)
  • Hélène Molinari (Fondazione SUMus)
  • Francesco Notari (Ogyre)

Moderator: Chiara Patitucci (Regenerative Society Foundation)
